EgoFree: Music & Community Festival that Supports Homeless Charities & Local Art

By 28 March 2017

EgoFree Festival is a music and community festival that supports homeless charities and the local art force in Split.

This year, the EgoFree Festival will return to Split from April 29-May 1. Held at Turska Kula (or Turkish Tower), the festival aims to bring the creative community of Split together while encouraging them to kill their ego and fight it with dance.

The 3-day festival will be dedicated to art exhibitions full with handicrafts and homemade clothing by renowned artists from the Split region, and of course, music. The first music headliner that has been announced is the well-known Croatian group and worldwide surf-instrumental attraction The Bambi Molesters. More music additions will be announced over the coming weeks.

The festival welcomes all creators and DIY artists who would be willing to donate their work. A lottery will then be held whose proceeds will go to the humanitarian organizations that participate in the EgoFree anecdote. Similar to last year, all art exhibitions will hang from the trees by “rope installations” in an effort to preserve the beauty and ambiance of the Turkish Tower. The humanitarian coordinators of the event are the famous Split volunteer organization Udruga MoSt.

The 3-day festival will be free for all, and all of the proceeds from the event will be donated to charity.

An incredible way to play a part in the creative Split community while making a difference, you can find more information on the EgoFree Festival here.
