Dalmatia is in the heart of its peak summer season, and the crowds, which have not slowed down, are frantically jumping from town to town to make sure they see every piece of Dalmatia they possibly can. Let Solo Transfers help you this summer.
Two of the most popular destinations along the Dalmatian Coast are Split and Dubrovnik. Split, known for being the second largest city in Croatia, is seeing higher numbers in tourism than ever before. And Dubrovnik, famous for acting as King’s Landing in Game of Thrones, has had its fair share of celebrity visitors this year.
Since you’re most likely planning on visiting them both during your Croatian travels, we thought we’d make it easier for you by helping you check things off your must-see list in both.
Let’s start with Split, the home of Diocletian’s Palace.
While it’s no surprise that you should explore the cracks and crevices of the palace, it’s always easy to miss a thing or two. Be sure to cool off in Diocletian’s basement, see an a cappella performance in the Vestibule, and pay your respects to the Ancient Roman God of the sky and thunder at the Temple of Jupiter. Take a hike up to the Cathedral of St. Domnius in the morning and relax in the evening with a live concert at Peristyle. Have a coffee on the Riva (or even the West Coast Riva) and make the trek up Marjan hall for a drink and the best view of Split. From there, continue to Bene or Kašjuni beaches for a swim away from the crowds. If you’re a football fan? Head to Poljud to catch a Hajduk game and if you’re not? Take a day to explore our many museums, from the Ivan Meštrović Gallery to the Gallery of Fine Arts. If you’re an early riser, don’t miss out on our bustling Green Market and Fish Market and be sure to barter with the seller for the best possible price.

Fast forward to Dubrovnik, the famous walled-city where the beauty will sweep you off of your feet. First things first, walk the walls. But only walk the walls as early as you can in the morning, or as late as you can in the evening. Being stuck behind thousands of other slow-walkers is a nightmare you’d rather leave for your dreams. Next up, explore the Old Town, but stay away from tourist traps on Stradun. Don’t miss out on the Church of St. Blaise, the Franciscan Monastery or the Rector’s Palace, and set aside some time for the Museum of Modern Art and the War Photo Limited Museum. If you fancy a boat trip, head to Lokrum island, and if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous? Rent a private boat to explore the Elaphiti islands that stretch north-west of Dubrovnik. A cocktail on a cliff at Buza Bar is the perfect place to spend your sunset and a cable car to the top of Mount. Srđ is a must for unforgettable views.
While this may seem like a lot to pack in, don't worry, we have already planned the hardest part of the journey - getting from point A to point B! With Solo Transfers, you can book a direct transfer from Split to Dubrovnik, and vice versa, for as low as 200 EUR.
