Hundreds of Split socialites enjoyed the grand opening of the city’s newest hotel - Marvie.
On a warm October evening in Split’s Zenta neighborhood, hundreds of Split citizens dressed in their weekend’s best to welcome the newest hotel on the block - Marvie Hotel and Health.
Recognized as the first health hotel in Dalmatia, Marvie truly opened their doors to guests for this summer’s season - a power move on their part considering guests flocked from all over the world to enjoy this healthy haven during the busy peak season. And the best part? It’s away from the bustling town center.
Because I live just minutes away from the new hotel complex, attending their official opening bash was met without hesitation, and I strapped on my heels and made my way through the crowds of Split’s finest.
From journalists to fashion gurus, sleek-suited men and dressed up faces, Marvie was opened with a program conducted by Iva Šulentić and Ivo Perkušić.
Greeted with champagne on the ground level in front of the hotel to begin, guests then made their way up the stairs to enjoy the specialities of the hotel’s restaurant, Da’Mar, accompanied by the sounds of Marija Husar and the Sick Swing band.
From smoked salmon and cream cheese tarlets to arancini and plump shrimp on tortilla chips, guests devoured the restaurant’s delights before them. Red and white wine was also welcomed with open arms.
After magic tricks by illusionist Adam Keisner, desserts garnished the black-clothed tables, boasting everything from chocolate mousse and fruit tarts, to profiteroles and berries with cream.
There was even someone making ice sculptures!
The party then continued to the rooftop terrace, and for those hungry for a Friday night afterparty, continued through the early morning hours on the underground floors of the hotel.
Welcome to Split, Marvie!
