Did you make it out to Prokurative for Easter breakfast this morning?
Today’s cloudy weather and light spring drizzle was no damper on this morning’s ’Easter breakfast at Prokurative' organized by the Split Tourist Board. Around 600 juicy portions of cooked ham, anchovies, pasta with smoked seafood, cheese and naturally dyed eggs were provided by the Association of Cooks of the Mediterranean Region. For the first time, cocktails were prepared in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic forms, which were masterly mixed by Jure Vojković. The gentle sounds of the Transacoustic band set the perfect tone for the tasty morning, reports Dalmatinski Portal on April 1, 2018.
The third Easter breakfast, otherwise, attracted both tourists and locals this morning who delighted in the holiday creations prepared by the chefs.
The director of the Split Tourist Board, Alijana Vukšić, was not disappointed.
“Many guests came from all sides to eat an Easter breakfast with us. Our intent was to provide our guests and our fellow citizens with the pleasure of our delicacies. These days, the tourist figures are outstanding, and the Easter holiday is a real tourist moment in Split,” Vukšić said.
Vukšić stressed that Split recorded tourism growth in the first three months of this year, stating that the facilities created by tour operators, caterers, hoteliers and private renters motivated guests to come in the preseason.
“Although Easter came early this year, we do not expect any gaps in April because many congresses have been announced, and the opening of new hotels will certainly contribute to the fact that business tourism brings even more guests during the preseason. Judging by the hotel bookings, visits are excellent and private accommodation, especially in the city center, is full. We think the results will be better than last year,” concluded Vukšić.
After Sunday Easter Mass, on his way to Prokurative for the beginning of breakfast, mayor of Split Andro Krstulović Opara visited with his family. He wished a happy Easter to all Split people in the square and fellow citizens alike, with the same measure of good wishes.
