We have finally learned of the entrepreneurs who will spend the next two years at the Žnjan beachfront.
After a re-tender was held because no valid bids were found in the first, the selection committee in search of the best bids for temporary catering objects on Žnjan beach found that out of the 17 applicants, seven of them did not return all of the required documentation or meet the set conditions. Among the eliminated are the long-time guests of Žnjan, the Anić and Burazin families, who still face outstanding debts to the city, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on May 11, 2018.
The remaining 11 "clean" applications were then evaluated, and the Commission gave preference to the bids offering the highest amount, taking into account the priorities highlighted by each of the bidders.
Representatives of the "Skaut" War Veterans' Cooperative from Solin used the privileges that belong to them under the provisions of the Croatian Homeland War Veterans Law and were assigned the location P1, which is closest to Raddison Hotel for 230,000 kuna per year. The P3 position was granted to "Regjo Consulting".
If there are no further surprises, the owners of "Bubamara”, who were indicted for illegal construction on Žnjan, are one of the returning objects among the former catering objects on the beach. As required, they settled all debts to the City, and their location at P2 was granted for 177,000 kuna per year under their company name “Moonlight”.
The company “Ventus Libero”, owners of the former Cool Bar, offered 361,000 kuna for P4 and should return to almost the exact same location as they were before, and the Zagreb entrepreneurs from "Taurus Consilium" offered 375,000 kuna for the adjacent building facility. The final two cafes at the beach belong to the companies “Magna Fortuna”, who will pay 291,000 kuna for P6, and the "Atrium Hotel Group" who will pay 165,000 kuna for P7 in 2018 and 2019.
The terms of the competition were not met by Čurković, Gastro Group, Comparo, Grissino, Promus Plus, Amfion, Ploha and Mehatronika Burazin.
According to announcements by Spalatum DMC’s Ante Šunjić, the head of this "operation", the cafés on Žnjan should open by June 30 at the latest.
