Craft beer, as you probably know, is a world of difference compared to the beer you’d drink from large breweries. In recent years, this trend has taken over Croatia and significantly refreshed and enriched the beer offer. Today, you can even find craft beer in supermarkets.
The Dalmatian capital is creating a new craft beer story that’s even unique in the world. Namely, Brew My Beer is a project that enables you to become a "master beer brewer”, or, in other words, gives you the chance to personalize your perfect craft beer, reports HRTurizam on June 16, 2018.
The idea was born by two enthusiasts and future entrepreneurs, Jakša Vuković and Roman Garber, who, with the support of their partners and friends, spent a lot of time enjoying, making and comparing various exotic brew combinations. After nearly two years of effort and refining recipes, the project will soon turn into a true entrepreneurial endeavor. All the preparations are complete, and the funding campaign for the necessary equipment will give them the means to launch the first deliveries by the end of this year.
The ultimate mission is to enable everyone to become a brewmaster at least once, and to create a new combination of flavors they have not yet tried, complete with their own labels. To keep it fresh and unique, the craft beer team behind "Brew My Beer" wants to give everyone the chance to make a completely personal craft beer through running a crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo platform.
"The idea is to choose one of several beer styles on our Brew My Beer website and add other ingredients as desired. Then you will choose one of the suggested labels or send a photo from which we will make the label ourselves. In the end, you can also name your personalized beer,” says Roman Graber, one of the founders, adding that their beer could be for daily enjoyment or special occasions.
CrowdFunding campaigns are no longer new, and several successful projects have also been realized in Croatia, such as Brlog and the beer Plavuša, modular table Modulus and the truly successful micro:bit STEM revolution. This kind of funding allows everyone to participate in small amounts, and in turn be rewarded with the product itself or other benefits.
In 2017 alone, domestic campaigns raised 15 million kuna for 26 projects, and to date, almost 30 million kuna has been collected in Croatia, according to the crowdfunding.hr portal.
“The production is elaborated to the finest details, but we lack some equipment. For this reason, we launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to start our brewery, the first of such in the world. Support us and we will let you be the master brewer of your own beer,” concludes Graber.
