Nenad Periš, President of the Split Association of Sports, has confirmed the news of a welcome for the Croatia national team in Split early next week.
The reception for the Croatian national team in Split will be held on the Riva on Monday or Tuesday, and the celebration, which will last long into the night, will be lead by Marko Perković Thompson and a number of other performers, reports Dalmatinski Portal on July 14, 2018.
According to the plan, after the celebration in Zagreb and meeting with President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović on Monday, Croatia’s footballers will make their way via plane to Split.
The call was, of course, sent to all the representatives of the national team, and the arrival of most of the team, led by Captain Luka Modrić and coach Zlatko Dalić, is expected. However, it may seem likely that some players from Zagreb and Slavonia choose to visit their families from the capital city instead. We'll know more soon.
Although the City of Split has yet to confirm, this news was confirmed by Nenad Periš, president of the Split Association of Sports, on behalf of the organizers.
We’ll keep you updated with any changes and new information. Stay tuned!
