Even if you’re not a cycling fan, there’s no denying last year’s Tour of Croatia was a huge promotional success for the country, and the official video of this year’s event was finally published on April 13, 2016. The first stage of the race will start in Osijek on April 19, 2016.

Live broadcasts of Tour of Croatia 2015 by Eurosport, Croatian Radio Television, and other participating TV channels were followed by a whopping 15 million viewers in 54 countries and this year Eurosport executives expect those numbers to grow even further: “Eurosport wants to increase its viewership and importance on a local level and Tour of Croatia is a great opportunity in which the potential of Croatia as an exceptional destination was recognized right from the start. It is a country of abundant sport tradition and world-renowned athletes. We are pleased that Eurosport, as an international “home of cycling” will provide a direct broadcast of the race to cycling fans in over 50 countries around the globe” stated the VP and Country manager of Discovery and Eurosport for Central and Eastern Europe Victoria Davies.

Along with Eurosport, the race will be once again broadcast by Croatian Radio Television as well as other TV stations from Europe, South, and North America, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Last year’s images proved extremely popular and they provided fans from all corners of the world with stunning images of Croatia and its coast, and if anyone is objecting to the funds Croatian Tourist Board is investing in this sports project, we suggest you also take a look at the official Eurosport trailer and we’re sure you’ll change your mind.
