As millions celebrated Valentine’s Day with their loved ones around the world, Red Bull Croatia may have outdone themselves by sending (what we think is) the best Valentine’s Day card in the world. Not to mention, a great promotion for Croatia.
HRTurizam reports on February 15, 2017 that skydivers Amy Chmelecki (USA), and Marco Waltenspiel and Marco Fürst (Austria) eagerly jumped out of an airplane over Croatia’s heart island - Galešnjak. While our perfectly heart-shaped island is promotion enough for this day made for lovers, skydivers embracing the island mid-flight may have just brought the magic of this island to another level.
The island of Galešnjak is located near Zadar, and is actually known to be the most perfect heart-shaped island in the world. Covered with wild plants and a few olive trees, the silence that prevails on this uninhabited gem is a paradise.
"Although the bura froze our feet, hands and ears, the day was perfect and we forgot that we were cold. This was a fantastic flight. So many small islands in the blue sea, and then in the middle a heart. Arguably one of my favorite projects,” said Marco Waltenspiel.
American Amy Chmelecki who recently participated in breaking the world record in skydiving said,”Croatia is everything I hoped it would be. Beautiful! There is nothing better than to fly through the beautiful locations in the company of nice people.”
