Learning Croatian is not easy for foreigners.
Learning the local language in Dalmatia is even harder.
Or is it?
Having lived here for ten years, I am now in two minds.
Learning all the endings, verbs of motion, pronouncing words with NO vowels whatsoever. Impossible. This is the classic view.
And then I met Frankie a few years ago, who showed me that speaking local dialect is really quite easy. Invest a minute of your time to learn the basic greetings which you will never forget (nor will the 10,000 people who have viewed the video).
