By 17 April 2016

This year’s edition of Days of Communication is ending today.

The fourth edition of Days of Communication in Rovinj, a festival known both in Croatia and regionally, is ending today. The three-day event at Rovinj’s Lone hotel attracted the greatest interest of the marketing industry so far and it drew a record 1,600 visitors, reports Večernji List on April 17, 2016.

Davor Bruketa, president of the Croatian Association of Advertising Agencies, which is a co-organizer of the Days of Communication, said: "I am very glad to see that this year's program, which is a mixture of the best global trends and discussions on the export potential of the Croatian creative industries, has attracted such a large interest from the people in this line of work. Given the record number of visitors, our efforts to organize another gathering of the world's elite lecturers and exchange the latest industry trends have again been successful. The numbers behind this year's fourth edition of the festival are a proof that every year we grow and confirm our reputation of the leading national communication festival.”

The program of the event included lectures by prominent world experts, including Lisa Larsson, Rogijer Vijverberg, Ramses Digenouts and others. One of the main characteristics of this year's event was the platform "Export Stage". An investor and entrepreneur Nenad Bakić talked within this segment of the program about the exports of the products that are a result of the work of the Croatian creative industries. “This year, in addition to top international speakers, we also wanted to point out the impact that the creative industries have on Croatian economy, as well as their strong export potential”, Bruketa told reporters.

Meanwhile, for the first time this year, a contest was held for young professionals titled “Young Lions”, which is a part of the global competition and the best of the four winning teams will be awarded a trip to Cannes Lions 2016.
