Croatia a Partner Country at the Luxury Real Estate Fair in Beijing

By 25 April 2016

Another great opportunity for presentation of Croatia in Asia.

The 12th edition of the Luxury Real Estate Fair was held in Beijing this week, with more than 120 exhibitors from over 35 countries presenting approximately 220 luxury destinations from around the world. Croatia was invited to participate as a partner country and presented itself during the first day of the fair, reports tportal.hr on April 25, 2016.

"We were interested in coming to the fair for the last several years and now the organizing committee decided that Croatia would be one of the partner countries. We are the only country this year from Europe and we have taken advantage to promote ourselves here", said Croatian Ambassador to China Nebojša Koharović.

The fair consists of two parts, one which deals with luxury properties and the other which covers luxury travel offers. During the presentation of Croatia, promotional videos were shown with Croatia's natural beauties and cultural heritage which should attract more Chinese tourists to this part of the world.

"Chinese delegations have repeatedly visited Croatia in the last few months and there are talks about specific projects. The second largest Chinese infrastructure company – China Metal Construction Company – will soon come to Croatia to open its European headquarters, and is interested in two projects on the Croatian coast", said Mario Rendulić from the Chinese Southeast Europe Business Association.

"A good promotional work and coordination related to the real estate business can do wonders. For example, Spain, Greece and Portugal, which a few years ago had no Chinese investments in this sector, are now the main destinations, along with Germany, England and France. Therefore, we invite all those who are interested to join us in these activities", said Koharović.

The big gala event included a performance by Croatian cellist Ana Rucner, whose performance was accompanied by promotional videos. "This was an excellent opportunity for me. It is never easy to represent Croatia since we have so much diversity and beauty in one place. I hope that I have managed to tell the story of our country", said Rucner.
