Croatian Government Grants a Concession to Investors in the Kupari Complex

A concession is granted for the Kupari Complex.

The Government of Croatia has adopted a decision on the selection of investors and granting of concession on maritime domain for the purpose of construction and commercial exploitation of the beach on the part of Brašina cadastral area, for the purpose of implementation of the tourism development project at the Kupari site in the Municipality of Župa Dubrovačka, reports Dubrovacki.hr on October 30, 2015.

In its findings and conclusions, the Commission for the Evaluation of Bids has proposed, and the Government has accepted the offer of a consortium comprised of AVENUE ULAGANJA, 1 Janka Rakuše Street, Zagreb, and AVENUE OSTEUROPA, with headquarters in Vienna, represented by AVENUE ULAGANJA, Zagreb, as the only and the winning bidder.

On 12 October, the Office for State Property Management opened the binding offers submitted for the international competition for the Kupari I project. It was found that an offer had been received by a consortium of Avenue Ulaganja and Avenue Osteuropa, and that Avenue Ulaganja was the leading member of the consortium, while the hotel management company Marriott International Inc. of the Ritz-Carlton brand had delivered a statement about joint participation in the Kupari project.

The Government has decided that it will sign an agreement with the Municipality of Župa Dubrovačka which will regulate the obligations in the implementation of this project. Both parties have agreed that they will resolve property rights relating to the land within the scope of the project with the investor, and that the fee that the investor will pay for the right to build and lease the Grand Hotel will be shared in the ratio of 75 percent for the Republic of Croatia and 25 percent for the Municipality of Župa Dubrovačka.
