Most Successful Croatian Startup Spreads to Baltic Countries

Another Croatian success story.

As Poslovni Dnevnik reports on the 4th of September, 2017, back in early July, one of Croatia's most successful startups spread its services all the way to Poland, which the seventh largest producer of agricultural products within the European Union.

Agrivi, otherwise the most successful Croatian agro-technological startup has also spread to the markets of Lithuania and Latvia, following a contract with the fast-growing Lithuanian food company Agrosfero. The company was founded in 2009, and according to INC5000 Europe, is the fastest growing business in Europe, in 2015, it rose in the ranks to become the fifth fastest-growing company in the Old Continent. It grew a massive 4518 percent in three years, and in 2013, it generated a very impressive revenue of 12.8 million euros.

Agrivi announced that it is very pleased with its new partner, which will be the distributor of their farm management software.

"From now on, farmers in Lithuania and Latvia can rely on our strong partner, Agrosfer UAB, a Baltic company that is internationally awarded for its speedy growth, transparency and good business practice within the food production industry," Agrivi stated.

In Poland, Agrivi has a contract with the Osadkowski Group, known and respected as one of the biggest players in its industry, with a huge 30,000 partner-farmers. The Osadkowski Group has 620 employees, 20 of its own wholesale stores and an annual turnover of 150 million euros.

The booming Croatian startup plans to enter into partnerships and open offices in other major markets. Although there has yet been no indication of what/where those markets could be, France is the largest food producer in Europe, followed by Germany and Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Outside of Europe, agriculture is particularly well developed in Brazil, the United States, Indonesia, India and South Africa.
