Biograd Boat Show, Croatia’s largest boat show will include a comprehensive congress programme organised by the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
This year, the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) is organising 'Nautical Days' (Dani nautike) for the first time, a congress programme for all companies and businesses operating in the nautical tourism sector, which will be held as part of the Biograd Boat Show in Biograd na Moru on the 19th and 20th October 2017, reports eZadar on October 16, 2017.
The aim of the first Nautical Days is to take full advantage of the nautical sector's presence in one place at the end of the nautical season to educate, communicate and collect information on key topics affecting maritime and nautical tourism.
''Nautical tourism is one of the key products of Croatian tourism which has enormous potential and competitive advantage.Given the fact that the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) brings together five associations directly related to nautical tourism (Association of Marinas at HGK, Association of Tourist Shipping Companies, Association of Small Boat-builders at HGK, Association of Charter Boat Accommodation Service Providers and the Diving Tourism Association), we have organized the central annual nautical tourism summit where we will discuss all current topics and set guidelines for further development of this branch of tourism," said Vice President of Tourism, Trade and Finance at HGK, Josip Zaher.

The Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković, the Minister of Tourism Gari Capelli, the Director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristijan Staničić, the Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Josip Zaher, and the presidents of the nautical associations will attend the opening.
The congress will present the tourist results of the 2017 season. Experts and interested public will have the opportunity to discuss a series of topics related to maritime tourism such as the Sea Pollution and Environmental Šrotection, Security and Sailing Accidents, Sharing Economy in Nautical Tourism: Opportunity or Threat?
The fair will also include Biograd B2B, a nautical business event, aimed at connecting shipbuilding and nautical tourism professionals and facilitate the interaction between exhibitors and registered business visitors. The Croatian Chamber of Economy as the partner of Biograd B2B is co-financing 50 percent of the fee for participation in B2B talks with all domestic companies which are members of the Croatian Chamber of Economy,
