Slavonian Company Impresses Siemens Executives

By 29 January 2016

A Slavonian Siemens success story.

Many say that Mladen Jurasović from Slavonski Brod is the most successful Siemens subcontractor in the region. His company Delta Elektronika, whose main business is the preparation and installation of electronic and electrical devices in trains and trams, was founded in the late 1990s and its first major contract came in 2012 with Siemens. Prior to this, he has gained an experience of working for years in Germany, which has helped him gain the trust of one of the largest and most respected industrial corporations in the world, reports Vecernji List on January 29, 2016.

After Croatia joined the European Union, he moved production from Germany to Slavonski Brod. “In this company, we work only for Siemens. We produce equipment for trains which today looks more like spacecraft equipment, and all components come to us from Germany”, says Jurasović.

In addition to Delta Elektronika, the owner founded Delta Jurasović company four years ago. Both companies employ a total of 35 workers, but with all the contracts planned, by the end of this year that number could be increased to 50. At first, they worked in a rented plant in the Đuro Đaković factory.

Siemens controllers were very satisfied with the working and safety conditions, but due to lack of space, three months ago the company bought and moved to a much larger space in the industrial zone in Gornja Vrba, which has an area of 3,500 square meters of closed work space and 14,000 square metres of land.

They are currently in negotiations to create parts for solar panels, again for Siemens which does not allow that plants which produce parts for their products produce similar parts for other customers. “Given the fact that Siemens pays its bills without a delay, we do not want to do anything which could shake their confidence and endanger our future collaboration”, says Jurasović. The small Slavonian company has demonstrated that with responsible approach and a well-thought-out investments they can perform so well that even Siemens executives are impressed.
