Croatia's tourism giant is looking to expand its workforce

Valamar Riviera, one of the leading players in the Croatian tourism industry, has opened 600 job positions for the upcoming tourist season, reports Lokalni.hr on February 9, 2018.

The company is looking for chefs, pastry chefs, waiters, kitchen staff, cleaning staff and receptionists for their 30 hotels and 15 camps in Poreč, Dubrovnik, Rabac, and the islands of Krk and Rab.

While Valamar Riviera is mostly looking to expand its workforce to meet the needs presented by the upcoming tourist season, they have also announced a possibility of employment on a permanent basis for some of their future employees. Valamar's entire workforce will count a total of 6.500 employees this year, seasonal workers included.

In December 2017, the company has approved the investment plan for 2018 in the amount of 705 million kuna in total. They are planning to complete the Valamar Girandella Resort in Rabac, reconstruct the Imperial Hotel on Rab island, reposition the Valamar Argosy Hotel in Dubrovnik towards guests with more disposable income, and further develop their camps on Krk island and in Istria.
