ZAGREB, July 7, 2018 - After meeting with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on Friday, the Croatia Airlines ORCA union and pilots' union (HSPP) said that they had decided to defer their strike which was set for Monday in order to create, within a reasonable period of time, the necessary preconditions to conclude a collective agreement.
ORCA said in a press release that its representatives had met with the prime minister and relayed their view of the current situation and that the prime minister showed understanding and expressed readiness to help create the necessary preconditions for a collective agreement to be concluded.
The HSPP union told Hina that the strike has been deferred and that the prime minister played a significant role in that.
The unions had announced the strike because their proposal for the collective agreement had been rejected.
