Inflation Hits 2.1%

ZAGREB, August 18, 2018 - In July 2018, consumer prices in Croatia went up 2.1% on the year, less than the record high annual increase recorded in June (+2.4%) but nonetheless it was the second highest inflation rate this year, according to figures the national statistical office released on Friday.

The 2.4% annual increase in June 2018 was the highest inflation rate since April 2013 and it followed marked increases of 1.9% in May and 1.3% in April.

In July 2018, the highest annual increase was recorded in transport prices (+7.2%).

Month on month, consumer prices fell 0.9%.
