ZAGREB, October 11, 2018 - The Agrokor Group generated 16.07 billion kuna in revenues in the first eight months of the year, less than planned, while EBITDA was more than planned at 1.46 billion kuna, according to a report the emergency administration in the food and retail conglomerate released on Thursday.
EBITDA was 26 million kuna more than planned, mainly thanks to the Retail and Wholesale sector, primarily the Konzum retail chain and the Food sector during the summer tourism season. Revenues, on the other hand, were one billion kuna less than planned.
The report says that despite a somewhat lower sales revenue, lower operating costs and higher efficiency in all three business sectors resulted in EBITDA surpassing plans.
The Retail sector posted EBITDA in the amount of 351.2 million kuna, almost 40 million more than planned. Revenue was 8.97 billion kuna, about 620 million less than planned.
The Food sector's operating profit exceeded one billion kuna, 50 million more than planned. Revenue was 5.7 billion kuna, about 200 million less than planned.
The Agriculture sector's operating profit was 107.6 million kuna, 68.5 million less than planned. Revenue was almost 1.4 billion kuna, 170 million less than planned.
