Ivan Mrvoš, the young entrepreneur from Solin who recently made the Forbes ’30 Under 30’ list, reveals his plans for Include beyond the famous smart bench.
Young entrepreneur Ivan Mrvoš recently surprised the public by saying that he is planning to retire when he is 30 years old. The news came after Forbes magazine ranked the Include founder among the 30 most promising entrepreneurs younger than 30 years of age. Luckily, it was just a joke, confirmed the young Solin entrepreneur, reports T.portal on February 26, 2019.
“Include will celebrate five years at the end of April, and we will count 12 years by my 30th birthday. I believe that business will be well established before then, and the company should be a global player when it comes to smart urban equipment. Who knows what kind of wishes or plans we’ll have then, but at this point, I think I could start with other projects by Include,” said Mrvoš.
Include today employs thirty people - and along with the Steora smart bench, the company has developed other products, such as the Monna bench intended for bikers. So far, they have sold more than 900 smart benches.
How much will Include be worth when Mrvoš is 30?
"Frankly, I cannot even predict it. It is possible that we will already make a public offer of shares, so the value will not depend exclusively on us. The markets and industries we are in are worth a lot and are constantly growing, and we are trying to position ourselves as a more important factor in the whole story,” Mrvoš pointed out.
By the end of 2017, when they managed to raise 423,000 euro through the Funderbeam platform, there were interested buyers, but Include did not think about this as an option. By the end of the second quarter of this year, they should close another, significantly higher investment cycle.
“Although we already have business results, foreign partners and products on 42 global markets, we are still a high-risk company that will only be profiled in the next few years. We do not have to worry about selling the company, nor would we do it at this time, even if there was such an offer on the table,” Mrvoš added.
The fact that Forbes included Mrvoš among the 30 most promising entrepreneurs under the age of 30 is an incredible acknowledgment for him personally, but also the entire Include team. Last year, MIT nominated Mrvoš for their 30 Under 30 award, and Deloitte ranked Include among the fastest growing companies in Central Europe.
