According to the last years' financial statements, in 2014 Croatia's brewing industry consisted of 32 companies which employed a total of 1,503 employees, which was an increase of two percent in comparison to the year before, according to an article in Index.hr on August 4, 2015.
Companies in the brewing industry had a positive consolidated financial result of 298.8 million kuna, while the net profits declined by 40.0 percent compared to the previous year. The total income of breweries in 2014 was 2.1 billion kuna, a decrease of 11.9 percent compared to 2013.
The average monthly net salary in the beer production sector was 8,812 kuna, which is 0.9 percent more than the year before, and 80.6% more than the average monthly net salary of employees in the entrepreneurship sector, which was 4,878 kuna.
Among the 32 companies in the brewing sector, Zagrebačka Pivovara was dominant with a share in total revenues of 42.3 percent and with an average monthly net salary of 11,078 kuna. The company was at the top of the industry by the number of employees as well. In 2014, it had 531 employees. Second place took Heineken Croatia, with total revenues of 695.2 million kuna. Employees of Heineken Croatia had an average monthly net salary in the amount of 11,194 kuna.
