Shanghai Meets Croatia in Opatija: The Tourist Boards Discuss Future Cooperation

In Opatija at Villa Angiolina on Friday, 25 November, a presentation was held titled "Shanghai meets Croatia in Opatija". The presentation and meeting of tourist associations and employees took place within a three-day stay of the Chinese delegation in Opatija, with the basic aim being to introduce Opatija and Croatian markets, but to also explore the possibilities of cooperation between Chinese and Croatian partners. At the meeting, a letter of intent was been signed between the Tourist Board of Shanghai and Opatija.

Ministry of Tourism Grants 245 Scholarships to Students for Hospitality and Tourism Occupations

The Ministry of Tourism for the 2016/2017 school year, and under the programme for encouraging staff education in catering and tourism, will co-finance 245 students to be educated in hospitality and tourism professions and occupations related to the development of special forms of tourism. The Ministry, since first implementing this program in 2008, has thus far co-financed 703 scholarship holders.

Project Worth 43m EUR in Zagreb to Construct One of the Most Innovative Centers in Europe

The Institution for Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment for Persons with Disabilities (URIHO) in Zagreb currently employs 522 workers, out of which 62% have some kind of disability or intellectual disability. The roughly 500 employees have a contract of work or collective agreement, while around 300 visitors to the URIHO join creative workshops and other programs.
