Stipe Petrina: Have You Really Had Enough?

By 3 June 2016

We are delighted to welcome independent MP Stipe Petrina to the TCN team on June 4, 2016.

HAVE YOU REALLY HAD ENOUGH!? WHILE WE PROTEST FOR BETTER EDUCATION, WE FORGET THAT, IF WE KEEP LIKE THIS, BOTH THE SMART ONES AND THE STUPID ONES WILL HAVE NOTHING TO EAT.

After the joy due to successful protests in support of implementation of curricular reform has died down, the question that arises and that is even more important is whether people will CONTINUE TO EXPRESS THEIR DISSATISFACTION ON THE STREETS or will the excitement that we have for once managed to gather in large numbers (and that it was not about a sports event or a concert of a tax evader) deflate like a balloon...

We are known as a people which FIGHTS SUCCESSFULLY AGAINST EXTERNAL, BUT NOT AGAINST INTERNAL ENEMIES, so I see Wednesday’s success as a long-term failure if these same people, who so enthusiastically protested for better education of their children, do not come to the protest above all other protests!

You may have previously missed THE MARCH AGAINST MONSANTO which was organized by the Free Croatia political party, maybe you have so far missed all the actions of those small parties that you do not see advertised in the main evening news, but that does not mean that we are not working or that we do not want a better Croatia. On 21 May, 2,200 people gathered in Zagreb carrying signs and also warning about harmful policies, this time due to decisions that can literally chase us to the grave. These people also think about the future of their children! They marched against Monsanto and the signing of the TTIP international agreement, but you COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING ABOUT THIS EVENT IN THE MEDIA.

This protest was not advertised on television. You all know how many people each year are diagnosed with cancer, you all know that our economy is collapsing. Do you wonder why some topics are so well accepted by the public while others are not!? Simply put, the protests for curricular reform are desirable and welcome – they are a sort of a blow-off valve. The President herself got involved. People were singing and being happy! Both sides sat at the table and talked, and there were even some hugs...

It is good that our children are smart and educated, because it will be easier for them to escape this country unless their parents wake up and take to the streets!

Therefore, if you want your children to have full stomachs and be healthy, and to stay here on their own land, demonstrate your anger, protect what is left, they have been stealing from us for the last 25 years! Therefore, at noon on 4 June, come to Ban Jelačić Square and support the protest of Free Croatia!

We will not be singing, but we will strongly yell STOP CORRUPTION, STOP THE SALE OF CROATIA!!!

Free Croatia and I demand the resignation of the Prime Minister and his deputies, we demand the resignation of this incompetent government and their players, we demand that everyone who took part in ruining Croatia leaves and never returns.

We want people to wake up and finally say STOP CORRUPTION, WE WANT A FREE CROATIA!
