Dubrovnik Shines in Paris and Invites Football Fans to Visit the City

By 24 June 2016

First it was the gastro presentation of Losinj, now Dubrovnik gets the spotlight in Paris.

We've got to hand it to the Tourist Boards, after a very long hibernation when large sport events are in question, they all took advantage of EURO 2016 in France to promote their destinations and tourist offer. On June 24, 2016, we bring you the photos and info from the presentation of Dubrovnik Tourist Board during the large "Coast of Europe" presentation in the heart of Paris.

Presentation of Dubrovnik and its surroundings was organized by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and along with traditional sweets and music performed by klapa Kase, representatives of the Tourist Board, dressed in traditional clothing from Konavle were handing out pamphlets.

All 24 countries participating in this year’s EURO took part in the promo project “Coast of Europe” in front of the City Hall in Paris (Hotel de Ville), a very busy location near the popular city block Marais and the world famous Notre Dame cathedral. The project will continue until July 10 and more than 3 million visitors are expected by then.

Croatian presentations during the “Coast of Europe” project were organized by the Croatian National Tourist Board in cooperation with the Ministry of tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Croatian Football Federation.

Croatian pavilion is opened every day from 1 PM until 10 PM and visitors can get all the information they need about holidaying in Croatia, watch promo clips and movies and win valuable prizes through competitions on social media platforms (all-inclusive stays, return flights to Croatia etc.).

Dubrovnik presentation created a lot of interest among visitors and Paris administration representatives. Sanches Ruivo, in charge of EU issues in the city of Paris and Jean Francois Martins who leads the sport and tourism department were both seen at the presentation as well as many representatives of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
