More than a thousand pieces of artwork are being displayed in Sisak as part of an international exhibition of caricatures.
The second international cartoon exhibition "MIKS 2016" has brought together 414 authors from 64 countries, with a whopping 1051 pieces artwork. The exhibit was opened on the evening of June 29 at the City Museum of Sisak.
This year’s theme follows “All About Rock & Roll", with the event being dedicated to the prestigious and recently deceased Croatian cartoonist Oto Reisinger. Artists from all over the world have sent in and displayed their works, basing their art on whom they believed to be the “best guitarist rock guitarist”.
The jury of voters for best artwork included Andrei Popov from Russia, Oleksy Kustovski from Ukraine, Darko Drljević from Montenegro, Zoran Petrovic from Germany, and Damir Novak, Darijna Gotal Sokolovic and Nenad Ostojic from the Croatia. The highest award of the exhibition known as the Grand Prix was awarded to Krzyszfofu Grzondzielu from Poland.
The exhibition will be open for a month.
