Illustrations and t-shirts by Issa Arts are a perfect gift… or a treat for yourself.
Behind the charming Issa Arts illustrations which you might have seen on social networks stands young illustrator Issa Bratinčević. Humorous daily situations, all seasons of the year, cooking, love, travelling, holidays – all these topics inspire her in different ways and this is reflected in the drawings, reports journal.hr on July 4, 2016.
Her fans, whose numbers are increasing by the day, are thrilled that she has recently offered them another treat in addition to personalized diaries, albums, greeting cards and the like. She introduced T-shirts showing some of their favourite illustrations. Here are some of the popular ones: ‘Kavocentrični sustav’ (A coffee-centric system); ‘Tko se kolača laća, neće stati u gaća’ (Eat that cake, forget your skinny pants; and yes, it does sound much funnier in Croatian); All kinds of magic happen when you’re not looking at your smartphone. So far, she offers only white shirts and they are ideal for summer.
Issa has graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, with a degree in Anthropology and English Literature. She says that “regardless of pursuit of knowledge I always knew that one day I would return to my childhood love – illustrating and drawing”. And that’s exactly what she is doing now. “My tiny drawings sometimes make people happy, sometimes they make them laugh, and sometimes they make them cry. But most importantly, they recreate those special moments and put them in the world of their own – where they will always remain special”, she explains.
Her illustrations (and also notebooks and planners) can be ordered as they are on her website, but because every order is hand-drawn, customers can personalize characters, names and include written notes or inspirational quotes of their own.
