Schedule Of Croatian Participation At The Olympics For Sunday

TCN brings you the itinerary of Croatian athlete’s participation at the Olympics (all times are in Central European Time Zone)

Here is the schedule for Croatian athletes on August 7, 2016 at the Olympics:

14.00 Shooting

Snježana Pejčić finished in seventh place in her first appearance in Rio yesterday, and today, at 14.00 Marija Marović will start her competition in 10 meters air pistol. Starting at 14.30, Giovanni Cernogoraz and Josip Glasnović will be at the trap shooting range to start their qualifications.

14.30 Handball

The Croatian handball team plays its first group stage match against Qatar at 14.30. “The Cowboys” are considered favorites for the win, but first games in big competitions are usually tight, so there is no place for compacency for the Croatian team.

14.45 Gymnastics

Filip Ude failed to qualify for the finals in pommel horse discipline yesterday, and today the youngster Ana Đerek starts her qualifications in the individual all-around discipline.

18.00 Swimming

Matea Samardžić set the new Croatian record in 400 meters medley discipline yesterday, but it was not enough to get to the finals and today, she will try to qualify there in her stronger discipline, 100 meters backstroke.

24.00 Basketball

In a late evening, Croatian basketball team is returning to the Olympics after eight years of absence, and it is a tough task for them. They will meet Spain in the first round of the group stage. Spain is considered the favorite for the win tonight, but so were Greece and Italy a few weeks ago, and yet, the Croatian team is in Rio today.
