Once upon a time, the amphitheatre in Pula was built to entertain masses with shows of gladiators. For a few years now, there are regular staged gladiator shows which take place every year from June to September. The production of the show gets better every year, so you might want to invest some HRK70 to be taken back to the time when Romans ruled the Istrian peninsula.
The shows are branded Spectacvla Antiqva. Below photos were taken on August 2, 2016. The remaining dates in 2016 are:

Tickets can be bought at the entrance. The show begins at 8:30pm.
