RTL Poll: SDP 62, HDZ 55, MOST 12 Seats

RTL and Jutarnji List conclude with polls for ten parliamentary constituencies.

RTL and Jutarnji List have concluded with their polls of ten parliamentary constituencies. On Sunday, they announced results of the poll for the first constituency, which covers central and western Zagreb and part of Zagreb County.

At last year’s elections, SDP won 39.2 percent of voters (7 seats), followed by HDZ (26.0 percent; 4 seats), MOST (18.4 percent; 3 seats), Bandić Milan 365 (4.6 percent; no seats), and Živi Zid (3.4 percent; no seats).

According to the poll, 62 percent of voters in this constituency plan to vote on 11 September. Among those who will vote, SDP would get 38.7 percent of votes, followed by HDZ (23.0 percent), MOST (9.7 percent), Živi Zid (5.7 percent), and Bandić Milan 365 (3.7 percent). As far as seats in Parliament are concerned, SDP would win 7 seats, HDZ 4 seats, MOST 2 seats, and Živi Zid 1 seat. So, in this constituency MOST would lose one seat, while Živi Zid would gain one seat.

After RTL polls conducted in all ten constituencies (140 seats), SDP has 62 seats in Parliament, HDZ 55, MOST 12, Živi Zid 3, IDS 3, Milan Bandić’s party 3 seats, HDSSB 2 seats. Compared to last Parliament, HDZ has the one seat less, SDP has six seats more, MOST has seven seats less, and Živi Zid has two seats more. HDZ can expect to win three more seats from Croatian nationals living abroad. National minorities will elect eight MPs in the special constituency. The total number of MPs is 151, and it takes 76 MPs to form a majority.

Next week, it is expected that Nova TV will announce the results of its poll, which will be the final survey before the vote on 11 September.
