The Croatian tourist offer will this year be presented at one of the world's largest tourist exchanges: the World Travel Market (WTM) held in London from November 7 to 9. The fair and Croatian stand at WTM will also be visited by Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli and Director of General Office of HTZ Ratomir Ivičić, reports HRTurizam.
"The WTM is one of the largest tourism fairs in the world which is annually visited by about 50,000 people who work in tourism. Thus, this is an ideal opportunity for Croatia as a tourist destination to further approach tour operators, but to also ensure and improve its position in the UK market, which has become one of our most important source markets,” said Minister of Tourism, Gari Cappelli, noting that after the very successful tourist year we have to continue working to show that Croatia will every year get better and be a more interesting destination.
The importance of WTM was stressed by Director of HTZ Ratomir Ivičić. "Croatia will present their offer this year to the strong competition of over five thousand exhibitors from more than 200 countries worldwide. To maximize the efforts of our arrival and to present a quality performance, Croatia will offer a booth the size of 261m2 which will exhibit a total of 22 co-exhibitors. A large interest from the co-exhibitors clearly indicates the importance of the British market from which we (Croatia) in the first 10 months of this year received more than 3 million overnight stays, with the potential for further increases very much there,” concluded Ivičić, adding that it is the British market that best reacts to the new HTZ communication concept under the slogan "Croatia, full of life".
The main exhibitor at WTM will be the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), with the fair presenting its offer of 22 co-exhibitors including the Tourist Board of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Tourist Board of Zagreb, Tourist Board of Split, and other entities including United Airlines, Plitvice National Park, Maister, Valamar, Suncani Hvar, HUP Zagreb, Uniline, Compass, Ban Tours, I.D. Riva, Katarina Line, Gulliver Travel, Sail Croatia, Super Tours, Real Croatia, Aronda Adriana Travel, Istarski Dvori, Oryx and Fleet.
