Lovro Hladnik, aka Myrak, a young music talent from Medjimurje.
Medjimurje, a beautiful Croatian region between the Drava and Mura rivers, famed for its warm hospitality, excellent cuisine, wines, schnapps and other local specialities, is also home to a remarkable young talent, a 15 year-old music producer from the electro dance scene called Lovro Hladnik a.k.a. Myrak. Having heard the young artist on the popular platform for aspiring artists, SoundCloud, TCN contacted the young artist for an interview on October 20, 2015.
Who is Lovro a.k.a. Myrak?
I am from Prelog, where I live with my parents, one older brother and a golden retriver. I am a second-year student in high school in Čakovecin the department for Multimedia. I also play the piano and I produce my own tracks on SoundCloud.
When did you start posting on SoundCloud and do you have some DJing experiences?
Well, I started about five months ago. I produce maybe one or two tracks in a month. I'm not a DJ yet but I had a little opportunity to play live at the local club and it was great experience for me. I want to do more but as my parents say 'school first then music', I have to agree, for now…
I see that you already have a nice number of followers?
Yes, I'm very happy with the response and the fact that people all around the world can hear and like my music. It keeps me motivated.
Who is your main music influence?
Among many DJs I listen to, I would say that my main idol is Dutch DJ Martin Garixx.

What are your plans for the future?
First I need some proper equipment to master DJ skills. Then I would love to do more live performances, because only live performance gives the right satisfaction when transfering my energy through my music to the public. My biggest wish is to one day play live on summer festivals like Zrče and Ultra.
Of course, more than anything I would really want to collaborate and maybe even share a stage with my favorites Martin Garrix, DJ Tiesto, DJ Carnage and KSHMR. It would be simply amazing. My passion is music and I can't imagine my life or my future without it.
