ADVENT RUN ZAGREB 2016 - Over 500 Runners From 15 Countries

By 14 December 2016

The race is organised by Run Croatia in cooperation with the Association for the Training of Dogs and Mobility

The international 10 kilometre race “Advent Run Zagreb 2016” will be held on Saturday, December 17 on the Sava river bank (start is along the embankment across from Bundek lake). Race will start at 11h, with currently over 500 runners registered from 15 countries, Nacional reported on December 12, 2016.

“Since we deal in organising sports events, we are excited and inspired with the possibility of cooperating with humanitarian organisations, sports institutions and local communities, all in order to contribute to their development and vision. This is where we’ve noticed an opportunity to further enrich the plentiful Advent programme in Zagreb with an event found in every town in Europe at this time of year, a race with a humanitarian note,” organisers from Run Croatia have said.

The race is organised by Run Croatia in cooperation with the Association for the Training of Dogs and Mobility. “Blind and other persons with disabilities as well as children with disabilities who use dog helpers, are truly the winners when talking of independence in mobility and improvement of quality of life,” organisers added.

Run Croatia was founded in July 2015 to promote sport and a healthy lifestyle.
