Six Croatian Clubs in Top 100 Clubs in the World

By 2 April 2017

DJ Mag releases their results for the Top 100 Clubs in the world.

DJ Mag, a monthly British magazine, has established themselves as the world’s biggest resource for DJs and fans of electronic dance music. In their famous “Top 100” series, the magazine creates annual polls where fans can vote for their favorite DJs and clubs in an effort to name the best.

The poll for "Top 100 Clubs" kicked off last December and over half a million votes were collected to find the absolute best in the world. Voters were encouraged to cast their vote for any club they fancied, and the clubs could be big or small, commercial or underground.

From the results announced in the commemorative edition of DJ Mag on March 30, 2017, six Croatian clubs were named in the illustrious list of best clubs in the world. And better yet, each Croatian club listed found themselves ranked in a higher position than last year.

So, what clubs made the list?

The Croatian club with the highest position on the list (#9) is the open-air beach club Papaya who moved up two places from 2016. In 14th place is Noa beach club (#20 in 2016) and in 24th place is Aquarius who climbed 21 places to 24th place this year. The top 3 highest ranked Croatian clubs all hail from Zrce Beach in Novalja.

Barbarella’s Discotheque in Pirovac came in at 34th place (39th in 2016), newly added Kalyspo on Zrce Beach took 39th place, and Culture Club Revelin in Dubrovnik took 49th place this year (75th in 2016).
