World music star DJ David Guetta is looking forward to his performance at this year's Ultra Europe which will take place from July 14-16, 2017, in Split.
Known to many as the godfather of electronic dance music (EDM), David Guetta is the reason why you and thousands of others will dance on your tired feet until the early morning hours at Ultra Europe this year.
One of the highest-paid DJs in the world, in his over 30 active years, Guetta has collaborated with the world's biggest stars including Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha, EDM colleaguee Afrojack, Justin Bieber, and even Usher (to name a few). Guetta has 55 million Facebook likes,17.6 million followers on Twitter, and 7.8 million followers on Instagram.
One of the Ultra festival's standard headliners, Guetta will once again take the stage at this year’s special fifth edition of the festival - and now that Ultra Europe is less than two weeks away, Vecernji List caught up with the music star to discuss this year’s jubilee edition and what he thinks about Croatia on July 3, 2017.
“Ultra Europe is a very special festival and definitely a place you keep coming back to. I expect that this year will be even more special and I can't wait to stand in front of the local public, which is truly amazing,” said Guetta, not quite trying to hold back his excitement that his next performance at Poljud Stadium is just a few weeks away.
David Guetta and the Croatian audience are old friends by now. In Zagreb, the DJ has appeared at nightclub "The Best," and had no problem bringing in 20,000 people for his show at the Arena - marking the event as one of the concerts the Croatian audience and Guetta will remember forever.
“Yes, I have had the opportunity to visit Croatia before and I am truly delighted by your people and this country. There is a very good feeling here, and I hope that this time I will find some time for myself to visit some of the places I have been wanting to visi for a while,” Guetta added.
The 49-year-old is currently working on a new album, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he throws in a few teasers during his Ultra Europe set.
“I'm working on a new album! I always try to show a new part of myself and convey it in my songs and the music I create. I hope that the final result of this album will be one that you will like,” the DJ concluded.
David Guetta will play the Ultra Europe MainStage on Saturday, July 15, 2017.
