Tuna Fever in Rogoznica Kicks Off Today

Traditional Tuna Fever festival starts today.

 

 

TUNA FEVER - Rogoznica 2017 will be held from August 23 until August 27 in Rogoznica, reports Pomorac.net, on August 23, 2017.

This very successful and popular fishing and tourism event is organised by Tourist Board Rogoznica and SRK Big Game Croatia and supported by Croatian National Tourist Board, which granted 100 thousand kunas - the highest support for a single event in Šibenik-Knin County.

The event will feature the third international qualification in Big Game Fishing. The winner will be able to compete in the 2018 World Cup in Costa Rica. In the course of three days, approximately 240 competitors and 60 competing vessels will participate.

According to the TB Rogoznica, this international competition in big game fishing is recognized as one of the most significant events in the region. Last year, the event attracted a large number of foreign and domestic tourists, as well as many famous people. This year, the organizers announced an even more spectacular program and a larger number of contestants.

Visitors will also be able to take a stroll around the nautical product fair, which will promote fishing products and services, including autochthonous products, and special attention will be given to presenting fishing knowledge and skills. Visitors will also be able to enjoy daily culinary delights and top class entertainment, including concerts by Four Tenors (Četiri tenora), Lidija Bačić and Željko Bebek.

The opening ceremony of the event will take place today, August 23, at 8 P.M. on the waterfront in Rogoznica, after which a performance by Four Tenors (Marko Škugor, Marko Pecotić, Đani Stipaničev and Vlado Garić) will be held at 10 P.M.
