Airport, directed by Michaela Müller, and produced by Ankica Jurić Tilić (Kinorama), is a Swiss-Croatian co-production. At the recently held Fantoche International Animation Film Festival, Airport was named the Best Film in Swiss Competition, and at this year's Animafest, the film received special mention for Best Minority Croatian Co-production. Hedgehog’s Home, an animated film co-produced by Canada and Croatia (Bonobostudio) and directed by Eva Cvijanović received an Honourable Mention for "the excellent execution of the film and an impressively told story". The film is an adaptation of the well-known fable written by Branko Ćopić , which tells the story of a hedgehog who meets several forest dwellers – a fox, a wolf, a boar, and a bear, and which speaks of the importance of home.
All these films were supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Center. The festival took place in Ottawa (Canada) from September 20 to 24, and is the leading animated film festival in North America. More than hundred short films and 5 feature films from 85 countries from around the world were shown at the festival. For more details, visit the official website of the festival.
