A Taste of Croatia: Prince Charles and Camilla Sample Croatian Delicacies in London

By 15 December 2017

Following their recent visit to Croatia, the royal couple gladly used the opportunity to enjoy some delicacies produced in these parts

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall paid a visit to the Borough Market in London on Wednesday, stopping to chat to vendors and sample the produce at various stalls. The royal couple seemed to be particularly interested in Taste Croatia, the only store in the UK offering exclusively Croatian gourmet products, reports Index on December 14, 2017.

Prince Charles and Camilla inquired about Dinara cheese, venison prosciutto, chocolate-flavoured spreads from Split, fig jam made on Kvarner, and other mouthwatering delicacies originating from Croatia.

"We were pleasantly surprised to see the royal couple, and it was an honour to hear they liked our products, especially after all the years we spent trying to get Croatian produce on the British market", said Ana Marija Volarić Stewart, the owner of Taste Croatia.

This is the second time for Prince Charles and Camilla to get a taste of Croatian gastronomy, as they already had the opportunity to enjoy our cuisine during their visit to Croatia last year.
