Investments await one of Dalmatia's most beautiful cities.
As Morski writes on the 14th of February, 2018, by the end of this year, the project of building a terminal at Gat Vrulje should begin.
Conclusions regarding the rather large project were arrived to during the working meeting between Mayor Željko Burić and Šibenik-Knin County Prefect Goran Pauk, along with the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković held today in Šibenik, according to a report from the local portal ŠibenikIn.
''We're on our way to establishing a port facility in Skradin, with regard to the entrance to Krka National Park, the harbours, and the anchorages that take place there. The Vrnaža project goes further, and we hope to get the funds for the construction of the maritime infrastructure in the area of the Bilice Municipality. We've also added a new terminal at Gat Vrulje, for which about 4 million euro has been secured so far, and it has been agreed that we'll embark upon the realisation of this project by the end of this year. The terminal has been pretty much reduced in relation to our original thoughts, the most essential thing is the organisation of the Schengen border. In the area of Šibenik, we expect to invest 2 million kuna into infrastructure, possibly even this year,'' stated Pauk following the meeting on the subject.
Mayor Burić is very pleased with the cooperation with Minister Butković and his ministry.
"We got clear support for raising the riva (waterfront promenade) in Doc, and all that the prefect has talked about are actually all projects that benefit the city," assured the Mayor of Šibenik.
Minister Butković expressed his satisfaction with the Vrnaža port once again, stating that he believes it should be a shining example of how all the communal ports in Croatia should look, before announcing that his ministry will continue to monitor and give its full support to this project.
