Ultra Europe in Numbers: 10 Facts about Ultra 2017

We're only four months away from this year's edition of Ultra Europe, the world-famous festival hosted by Split which saw a staggering 150.000 visitors last year. As we're waiting for the summer to roll around - July 6, to be precise - have a couple more facts about Ultra 2017:

1. Tickets for Ultra 2017 were sold in a total of 140 countries.

2. Most visitors arrived from the following 15 countries: Spain, the UK, Australia, the US, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Canada, France, Ireland, Brasil, Netherlands, Austria and Slovenia.

3. International media published a total of 345 announcements related to Ultra Europe, including newspaper articles, online and TV reports.

4. According to Ultra Europe's management, all news pieces on Ultra 2017 combined were seen or read by seven million people in total.

5. The last edition of Ultra was attended by 350 accredited journalists.

6. Ultra's management team carried out a survey among the visitors of the 2017 festival. 63% said they arrived from abroad, implying only a third of festival-goers were locals.

7. Foreign visitors didn't pack up and leave as soon as the party was over - they stayed in Croatia for 6,4 days on average.

8. Those same visitors spent 143 euro a day on average - ranking among the biggest spenders on the Adriatic last summer. Some 72% visited other cities apart from Split and Hvar where Ultra takes place, making the most out of their Croatian holiday.

9. 29% of Ultranauts stayed in hotels, 37% opted for private accommodation, 14% were fans of camping, and 9% stayed on boats.

10. And finally, the gender ratio: men make for 60% percent of all Ultra visitors, while 40% are women.

 

Ultra Europe will take place in Split from July 6 to 8 this year, with Ultra Beach Hvar set for July 10.
