Fast and Furious in Dubrovnik as Gran Turismo Supercars Arrive

Speed lover? Dubrovnik plays host to some four-wheeled beasts.

As we reported a few days ago, supercar lovers were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Gran Turismo bunch in the Pearl of the Adriatic today, and they weren't left remotely disappointed by what they were met with.

As Dubrovacki Dnevnik writes on the 8th of May, 2018, this afternoon, Dubrovnik's beautiful Hotel Palace played host to around 35 incredible and incomprehensibly expensive supercars (and their owners, of course), the most expensive of which was worth over a staggering 450,000 euro - the Lamborghini Aventador special edition. Additionally, many other supercars showed up in Croatia's southernmost destination, of which about half were Ferraris.

As mentioned, Gran Turismo is a globally respected, highly exclusive supercar club founded back in June 2002 in Sweden as a kind of fraternity for owners of such vehicles. Today, there are about five thousand members from all over the world, including Europe, the United States, South Africa, Asia, and Australia, bonded by their deep passion for, and ownership of supercars.

To take the Adriatic route and arrive in the home country of Mate Rimac, one of Croatia's most wildly successful entrepreneurs and the founder of the world famous Rimac Automobili, must have been quite the experience for the members of Gran Turismo.
