What would you do for the person you love? That is the main question after watching this new Croatian movie.
Actress Leona Paraminski, who for two years has lived and worked in the United States, is one of the main roles in the feature film "Because of You" and starred in the short film "Vanishing" by Angelo Jurkas. This movie role got her the opportunity at first try out in the music waters.
The premiere of her first song was held for International Women's Day on March 8, 2016, a tender love theme from the movie "Because of You", with a storytelling character, "Tell me, please."
It is a poem written by the director Angelo Jurkas and composer Dalibor Grubačević, which can be found on the official soundtrack music from the movie "Because of You". The movie theater preview should be this summer at film festivals with cinema distribution and premiere in early September.
Leona :"It was a great pleasure to work with extremely talented people in every way. It all started working on the video for Jurkas "Disappearance" in 2013 and I am delighted that it has grown into a wonderful collaboration and story told on a number of levels and styles, building on the short "Vanishing" and feature film "Because of You", the Soundrack song "Tell me please," dropped like icing on the cake."
Composer Grubačević pointed out that it "was a wonderful collaboration with two brilliant people, Angelo with the beautiful story and Leona with a superb interpretation.”
The album release should be expected in the months before the premiere.
On the soundtrack, among others, participated: Cold, Urban & 4, Kawasaki 3P, Pavel, Irena Zilic, Dunja Ercegovic, Miki Solus, Rokambol, Queen of Sabe, NE, BOG, Ohnokono, Krankšvester, General Woo, Judette, Jasna Bilušić, Ines Huskić Yness, actress Iva Viskovic and many others.
Original music in the film is the work of composer Dalibor Grubačevič while the opening theme of "Waltzing Lion" is signed by former guitarist and frontman of Laufer and recently formed band Tourists – Vlado Simchic Vava. The film has numerous acting appearances in which some of the major roles are performed by Leona Paraminski, Natasa Janjic, Urban, Marko Cindric, Mario Kovac, Jelena Percin, Doris Pinčić Rogoznica, Iskra Jirsak, Iva Viskovic, Iva Mihalic, Csilla Barath Bastaić, Senka Bulic, Jasna Bilušić, Hrvojka Begovic, Ana Vučak, Stojan Matavulj, Niksa Marinovic, Ante Krstulović, Zoran Pribicevic and many others.
This is atypical love story with many entanglements, dramatic and comic elements. Based on a book with the same title which will be published this year in only one unique copy. The film was promotionally introduced at last year's Sarajevo Film Festival.
Interestingly, there is a bilingual version of the song and video in Croatian and English language. The video montage was done by famous Zagreb cameraman and photographer Goran Berović. Check the official trailer on Youtube.
