Not everybody is thinking only about football.
Croatia is becoming a more and more trendy and even possibly a “fancy” destination. This has been proven once again by the well-attended Beach Polo Cup which is traditionally held in the beautiful Rovinj in Istria. The third edition of the competition took place over the weekend.
Polo players from 12 countries marched through the town on their horses, and locals and tourists were given an opportunity to feel the special atmosphere of this event and learn a bit more about the royal sport. The famous Veuve Clicquot was this year again the sponsor of one of the teams.
In a great atmosphere of the polo arena with a beautiful view overlooking Rovinj, guests gathered at the nicely decorated Veuve Clicquot lounge, where they supported the eponymous team, enjoying at the same time the Veuve Clicquot champagne.
The most successful was the winning team of the tournament, the Adris Group Team, which won and celebrated the victory also with a little help from champagne bubbles.
Many prominent guests attended this year's Rovinj Beach Polo Cup, including Joy and Leah Wood, former wife and daughter of Ronnie Wood, a member of the legendary Rolling Stones, as well as other world-famous celebrities such as the prominent American actress Eve LaRue and singer Sophie Ellis Bextor, who held a special concert.
