4 Days, 60 Films: Betina Film Festival Coming Soon

Early September brings a celebration of the big screen to Betina.

As SibenikIN writes on the 31st of August, 2018, the Betina Film Festival, BAFF, will be held from the 6th to the 9th of September, 2018, during which a total of sixty films will be screened during morning, afternoon and evening projections. The upcoming festival has upon agreed a program which promises the screening of sixty films over four days, guest appearances, and a variety of related workshops.

Numerous Croatian and international films are included in the categories of animated, documentary, and feature films set to be screened over the duration of the festival for both Betina locals and visitors to the area. Names from all over the world will be showcased, ranging from the Faroe Islands all the way down to Indonesia.

The feature films of Croatian production will be shown in the evening on Betina's main square. Every evening is reserved for one film screening, and the schedule is as follows: The Eighth Commissioner (Osmi Povjerenik), Lada Kamenski, and Comic Sans.

The guests of this year's Betina Film Festival are distinguished Split filmmakers Boris Poljak and Vlado Zrnić, as well as Zadar actress Tamara Šoletić. They will hold interesting lectures related to their work in film art, and within the Q'n'A (Questions and Answers) morning program held in the BAFF zone, they will answer all the questions the audience may have.

In addition to numerous projections and interesting lectures on various topics covering all things ''film'', visitors to the festival have the opportunity to participate in workshops such as the creation of storyboads, photographic workshops, and various stage and acting workshops. Film workshops are intended for children and young people, and applications for them can be submitted via the official Facebook page of the Betina-based festival.

''Cinema Island'' (Kino Otok) is the title of a short film created by Ivan Ramljak, which will be screened on the last day of the festival.

After the awarding of prizes in both international and Croatian categories, the festival will close with live music from various bands.
