Excellent news for the students of Croatia's maritime schools along the coast.
As eZadar writes on the 14th of September, 2018, this coming Monday, at the premises of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, the signing of contracts will take place which will award grants for the supply of school equipment in schools to secondary schools which carry out vocational programs in the maritime sector.
Contracts total worth nearly three million kuna will be signed by the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, with the directors of various coastal schools which conduct professional programs in the aforementioned sector in Bakar, Mali Lošinj, Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Korčula and Dubrovnik.
These funds have been allocated on the basis of a public call from the Ministry, thereby contributing to the achievement of the goals of the maritime development strategy and theiIntegral maritime policy of the Republic of Croatia for the period up to the year 2020.
It is one of the measures that the competent Ministry provides for adequate ''material conditions'' in maritime schools and works on the promotion, strengthening, and raising the quality of pupils' education in maritime educational facilities.
