The controversial act was recently featured in a popular TV talent show.
The Council for Electronic Media has made a decision on a man who recently took part in a TV talent competition broadcast on Nova TV, the most popular TV channel in Croatia. In his act, the “artist” created a painting using his penis, reports Index.hr on October 9, 2018.
The Council for Electronic Media has ruled that the broadcast of his act was not contrary to the provisions of the Electronic Media Act.
“The Council for Electronic Media has decided that there was no violation of the Electronic Media Act, as well as the Ordinance on the Protection of Juveniles in Electronic Media, in the case of the content broadcasted as part of the Supertalent talent show, related to the appearance of Brent Ray Fraser.
The Agency for Electronic Media has received several complaints from citizens about the content broadcast on September 30, 2018, as part of the Supertalent talent show, which is broadcast on the Nova TV channel. All the complaints related to the appearance of the competitor Brent Ray Fraser. Complainants considered his actions to be inappropriate content which could undermine the physical, mental and moral development of young viewers.
The Council made its decision after the expert services of the Agency for Electronic Media analyzed the content in question and found that the publisher used a programming label, the audible warning ‘the following programme is inappropriate for persons under the age of 12’ and the late-night time slot (from 10.24 pm to 10.32 pm) and has therefore taken all the available measures so that young viewers would not see the disputed content. In addition, by the selection of shots and with computer-aided animation, the broadcaster has avoided an explicit depiction of sex organs. Also, Nova TV did not rebroadcast the disputed content in later transmissions,” announced the Council.
