''Wings of Storm'' Perform at 59th International Children's Festival

The 59th International Children's Festival in Šibenik closed with the performance of the Croatian acrobatic group ''Krila Oluje'' (Wings of Storm).

As Morski writes on the 30th of June, 2019, on the 29th of June 2019, the acrobatic group of the Croatian Air Force "Wings of Storm" carried out their impressive flight over the City of Šibenik, thus actively participating in the program of closing the 59th International Children's Festival, which typically lasts for two weeks in the aforementioned Dalmatian city.

In addition to the "Wings of Storm" performance, the Croatian Ministry of Defense and the Croatian Army participated in the International Children's Festival in Šibenik with a flight simulator of the MiG-21 Croatian Air Force aircraft as part of a promotional stand located on Šibenik's Pavel Šubić square (trg).

On that same promotion stand, various staff members, including pilots and pilot cadets entertained the festival's many interested visitors, introducing them to the job and the duties of military pilots and more.

After the flight over Šibenik, Wings of Storm's Darko Belančić, stated that that "Wings of Storm" and their acrobatic performance are already a traditional sight at the closing of the International Children's Festival and that the flight from Zemunik to Šibenik and back was also joined by famous Croatian and Hollywood actor Goran Višnjić.

"Children and young people are our favourite audience, and I hope everyone enjoys watching the flight, as well as actor Goran Višnjić who experienced our flight which announces the closing of the festival," said Belančić, thanking Goran Višnjić once again for his participation.

During yesterday's flight, Višnjić communicated via radio from the Pilatus PC-9 to the local radio station in Šibenik: "I'm in the the company of the brave and courageous pilots of Wings of Storm. I'd like to invite all young people who want to learn to fly to accept this challenge and become military pilots, come to Zemunik and learn from the best,'' said Višnjić.
