12-pax semi-submarine was delivered to the Maldives, first tourists are already exploring the seas.
I've known Mladen Peharda, the owner of Agena Marin, for more than 5 years and I've followed his work from the very first semi-submarine he ever designed and built. Total Croatia News published an extensive interview with this successful Croatian entrepreneur and even then he said one of his goals is to sell his products to resorts in the Maldives. On April 20, 2016, his dream became a reality as the very first semi-submarine was assembled for a brand new Maldivian adventure.
"It took us only ten years from the first prototype followed by six years of serial production to have the 12 pax SemiSubmarine designed and transported overseas in a 40 ft. container. With 30+ boats sold in Croatia until now, Maldives are definitely a big milestone for us" Mladen Peharda said upon finishing the first test run in the Maldives where his product will be used for day tours around the Kuramathi Island Resort.
Getting the 12 pax SemiSubmarine to its final destination was a huge task. It was shipped in parts in a container with a freight boat then assembled in one of the shipyards.
After two days of assembling, the red "cutie" was ready to explore the Maldivian seas. Congratulations to Mladen on his success, and we cannot wait to see the 55 pax version in Croatian cities this summer.
