The fair in Nuremberg is one of the most prominent international innovation events.
One of the most prominent international innovations exhibitions, IENA 2017, held in Nuremberg in Germany over the past three days, featured 14 Croatian innovations, of which four innovations were awarded a gold medal, two with a silver medal and three with a bronze medal, announced the Union of Croatian Innovators on Sunday, reports Večernji List on November 5, 2017.
The Croatian inventors took part in the fair in Nuremberg as part of the delegation led by the Union of Croatian Innovators and supported by the Ministry of Science and Education, the Croatian Community of Technical Culture and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.
The gold medals were won by the GRUNNER smart electric bicycle (Ivan Golubić and the Mobile Vehicle Technology company from Pisarovina), SELF PROP RAIL (Dražen Vidović and the RŽV Čakovec company), aPAD (the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb) and the 3D scientific submarine (the Samobor Vocational School and the Association of Technical Culture and IT Teachers from Samobor). The submarine from Samobor, in addition to the gold medal, also received a special award given by the Korean Innovation Promotion Agency.
The silver medal was awarded to the medical multifunctional verticalization bed (Boris Perovsky and the Bernard company from Pušćina), and the detection and sensing device in the event of motorcycle accidents (Siniša Brođanac).
The bronze medals were won by the hydraulic servomotor for automatic start of turbines in oil refineries (Damir Rogoz, Antun Miholović and the Karlovac Turbine Factory), MIKRO ARM (the Technical School in Karlovac), and the multipurpose yard doors as part of the smart-home concept (the Faust Vrančić Technical School in Zagreb).
The innovation of invisible markings in the visible and infrared spectrum on textiles with inkjet technology (the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the University of Zagreb) received a special award from the Chinese Association of Inventors.
More than 800 innovations from 31 countries from around the world were presented at the exhibition in Nuremberg. Most interest was seen for innovations developed by many young innovators who demonstrated remarkable innovative potential and attracted numerous representatives of the business sector.
This year, young inventors from Croatia achieved extraordinary success, once again confirming their excellence and competitiveness in the international context.
