BBC reports on the new Nadalina chocolate
Croatian chocolate genius and avid rocker in his free time, Marinko Biškić has been very busy lately. Not only did he break the Guinness Record by creating the world's largest chocolate last April on Peristil, Split, but on March 18, 2016, he also presented the very first eco-chocolate produced in Croatia and straight away caught the attention of BBC.
His Nadalina chocolates are very well known to all true lovers of this sweet treat since he uses the best quality cocoa, refuses to import cocoa beans from farms that employ children, and produces some very exotic chocolates, pralines and spreads with lavender, carob, cinnamon and dried figs and prosecco. Tue to his slogan "Passion to the people" Marinko Biškić is very passionate about his chocolates so to produce this new eco product he not only used the finest eco cocoa, he also invented his own tools and special equipment to ensure the entire process will be eco-friendly.
According to Biškić, his eco treats take 50 hours to make and that the process is very delicate so even things like the weather can affect it: "In order to achieve world class flavour, I am using top-quality cocoa. These cocoa beans arrive eco-certified, along with the sugar used to make this treat. Nothing else is added to the chocolate apart from cocoa and sugar.'
These eco chocolates will be available in his Nadalina store in Split, and we're sure they'll soon become a hit with both the locals and tourists.
